Delete Time Deposit

In addition to modifying a time-deposit’s settings it is also possible to delete it completely. This implies that any cheques and added interest related to that time deposit will all be deleted.

How to Delete a Time Deposit

To delete a time deposit you go to Savings\Time Deposit\Delete Time Deposit and a Delete Time Deposit window like the one below shows up:

• Time Deposit No.: Type the number of the time deposit to delete in the Time Deposit No.: text box or click on the Choose command button to select it from the list that will be displayed, e.g., "DB/00001".
  

Click on the Next command button to continue. (the details for the selected time deposit will be displayed in the Delete Time Deposit window like the one below).

• Reason: Enter the reason for the cancellation of the time deposit in the Reason text box, e.g., "Cancellation by client".

Click on the Delete command button to continue (the specified time deposit will be deleted).

Note: If the TD was opened using funds from the savings account, the deletion will reverse the savings transactions as well.

A report of the deleted time deposits can be viewed at Deleted Time Deposits report.
